Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Wi-Fi Check (the "App"), or by accessing or using the wificheck.net website (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Website.

Scope

These Terms apply to:

  • Wi-Fi Check Mobile App: The iOS mobile application available on the App Store

  • Wi-Fi Check Website: The website located at wificheck.net

Different sections may apply specifically to the App or Website, as indicated.

Description of Service

Mobile App

The Wi-Fi Check mobile application allows you to:

  • Check Wi-Fi and Internet connection speeds

  • Analyze network performance metrics (ping, jitter, packet loss, DNS response time)

  • Monitor Wi-Fi signal strength and quality

  • Compare local network performance vs Internet performance

Website

The wificheck.net website provides:

  • Information about the Wi-Fi Check app

  • Support resources and documentation

  • Contact information and support channels

  • Legal documents (Terms of Service, Privacy Policy)

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old.

Subscriptions (App Only)

Subscriptions are available only through the mobile app, not the website.

Subscription Plans

  • Free: 2 checks per day

  • Personal: Unlimited checks

  • Pro: Unlimited checks + advanced features

Billing

  • Payment: Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and subject to Apple's payment terms

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of price changes, and they will apply to your next billing cycle

  • Billing Period: Monthly or annual billing options are available

Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings or App Store

  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's refund policy

  • No Refunds for Partial Periods: No refunds are provided for unused portions of subscription periods

  • Effect of Cancellation: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to paid features until the period ends

Free Trial

  • Free trials may be offered at our discretion

  • If you cancel during a free trial, you will not be charged

User Responsibilities

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the App and Website only for lawful purposes

  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

  • Not use the App to interfere with or disrupt networks or services

  • Not share or distribute the App or its components

  • Not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Website

  • Not transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code through the Website

App-Specific Requirements

  • iOS Shortcut: The App requires an iOS Shortcut to function. You must install the Shortcut separately from the provided link.

  • Permissions: You must grant necessary permissions (local network access for Pro features) for the App to function properly.

Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: The App and Website, including all content, features, and functionality, are owned by Wi-Fi Check and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws

  • App License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal iOS device

  • Website License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Website for personal, non-commercial purposes

  • Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or Website

Disclaimers

Service Availability

  • The App and Website are provided "as is" and "as available"

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation

  • Network test results may vary based on network conditions, device capabilities, and other factors

  • Website availability may be affected by maintenance, technical issues, or third-party services

Accuracy of Results (App Only)

  • Speed check results are estimates and may not reflect actual network performance in all scenarios

  • Results may be affected by network congestion, server location, device limitations, and other factors

  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on test results

Website Content

  • Website content is provided for informational purposes only

  • We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that all information is current or complete

  • Website content may be updated or changed without notice

Third-Party Services

  • The App uses third-party services (Apple App Store, RevenueCat, vendor lookup APIs, IP geolocation APIs, librespeed.org public speed check servers)

  • The Website may use third-party services (hosting, analytics, email)

  • We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • No Warranty: The App is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied

  • Limitation: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

  • Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wi-Fi Check, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Termination

By You

  • You may stop using the App or Website at any time

  • Cancel subscriptions through Apple's subscription management (App only)

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App or Website at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason including:

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Fraudulent or illegal activity

  • Discontinuation of the App or Website

  • Technical or business reasons

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date

  • Posting a notice in the App (for significant changes)

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally.

Formal Resolution

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be resolved through the courts of the State of Rhode Island, United States, to the extent permitted by law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wi-Fi Check regarding the App and Website.
